What are the costs of typical restaurant meals in Cancun? |
Travel Info Hi, We might go to a resort in Cancun without an All-Inclusive plan. Is this feasible? How much are meals, breakfast, lunch, dinner at an average restaurant in the Cancun area? Thanks! Travel Tips You need to plan at least $100-$150 a day for two to cover meals and drinks. Good meals are not cheap in Cancun anymore but you can still find some bargains. I would do all-inclusive in Cancun unless you are getting a great rate on a non-inclusive hotel. Good Luck Others If you're this concerned; better stick with the ALL INCLUSIVIE RESORTS . . . They run from $2.00 at the taco factory up to top notch and the Argentian steak house, just like every country you have cheap eats like VIP's to expensive, if you book an all inclusive keep to your hotel for the All Inclusive experience but if your on a hotel basis only, like the Marriott which is very expensive I'd budget through out Cancun. the taco factory is awesome!!! You can go to Cancun with an all inclusive plan for up to 58% off! See our presentation on what is available for you. Go to http://www.earnvacations.com/freedom... Its a wonderful program. If your resort offers a variety of restaurants....go with the all-inclusive. It is really hard to beat. If not......the best prices for food is downtown. There is a good restaurant in party center....VIP I think is the name.......has some decent prices on breakfast and lunch. Average cost of meals at places like Carlos and Charlies and Margaritaville is 18-25 per person. I would go the all-inclusive....it is usually cheaper and much easier. Even McDonalds麓prices are 30% higher in Cancun than in the rest of Mexico. But when in Mexico, please don麓t go to Mc Donald麓s. Try Sanborn麓s (whole meal for around 11 American dls, enchiladas and ask for limonada or naranjada which are prepared with fresh fruit juices and mineral water), Los Bisquets de 脕lvaro Obreg贸n (very cheap and excelent breakfast, try caf茅 con leche with any package or 麓paquete de desayuno麓 , for around 6.00 dls, which includes a big and fresh fruit juice or fresh fruit and a well served dish and just have a bisquet, they are so rich you won麓t need to put anything in it). Or also, very good but a little bit priceier, Los Almendros (lunch or dinner, check the price menu at the entrance before getting in, also ask if they charge for 麓cubierto麓, which is an extra fee no matter what you order, Los Bisquets and Sanborn麓s dont charge for 麓cubierto麓. If the cost is ok with you, try queso relleno, sopa de lima, tamales, cochinita pibil, pastel de elote, Montejo and Le贸n Negra beer, manjar blanco mmm), you麓d be eating authentic Mexican food and at fare prices. Another tip, if you order a Margarita, tell the waiter that you don麓t want the pre-bottled mixes, try the real Margarita 1-ice, 2-fresh lime juice, 3- jarabe natural, 4-Cointreau, 5-tequila....Not going to an all-inclusive hotel might offer you the oportunity to discover great things. I am Mexican and I like to cook, eat and travel. |
