Last minute spring break in Cancun? |
Travel Info How plausible is it to book a vacation to cancun a week in advance? I want to go next week. Travel Tips It's possible for sure, you may not get the hotel you want, but booking last minute has it's up's and down's........you may save money, or you may lose out, people do it all the time....... =) Enjoy Cancun! Others sure...why not? if you can get the airfare, i'm sure you can find a hotel. get online and start hunting!! i recentlyl made reservations for a small hotel in mexico, online, and thought for some reason there might be a problem, or they wouldn't get the reservation...but everything worked out perfectly, and i made the reservation only 2 days ahead of time. it is possible, but it may be difficult. If you're schedule is pretty lax, try: www.sidestep.com: to find cheap plane tickets on your suggested dates. This website goes through (virtually) all airlines and tells you how much they will cost. www.continental.com: gives 3+/- days of availability of whatever dates you originally chose. now finding a hotel might be a different story! good luck and have fun! i'm going to cancun April 17. =) go here for deals. http://www.applevacations.com Hope you can book the air. On the chance that you are in Canada, try: www.selloffvacations.com www.itravel2000.com We've done good with both. Last minute traveling though sometimes requires flexibility. (i.e. wanted to go to Cancun but couldn't get a flight so we ended up in the DR. but who cares - it wasn't snowing and I was on a beach with a cerveza. ahhhhhh cerveza.) i made reservations ona wed at 4:30 pm and left the next morning (thursday) at 6:30 am so, yes, it can be done!!!! |
