Surf Fishing Riviera Maya?

I will be staying near Puerto Moreles in late april. I really want to bring some fishing gear and do some surf fishing. Does anyone know if i need a liscense or any kind of permit to fish? Also, any tips on fishing gear and methods? Never fished the surf in mexico before, but i have seen people do it and would love to give it a shot.

Check with Aqua tours they may be able to help you with that, I've been on fishing tours myself, but never off the beach etc.
