How is the Flamingo Cancun?

A few of my friends & I are going to stay at the Flamingo Cancun July 07; some of the pictures I have seen look nice others look crappy...same with the reviews some are excellent others make me not want to go at all! Has anyone been there recently?

Flamingo is rated 60 out 157 hotels in popularity on trip advisor. I do feel most of the time trip advisor is on target.
It's a 3 star hotel. Not a bad rating. It's in a good location. Close to all the clubs

I do like all of the Palace resorts and visitors also like the Riu Resorts. They get excellent reviews most of the time.

It's an older property, I have no complaints on it, but I would only stay their if the price was outstanding as their are so many more properties in Cancun to stay at, the biggest complaint without really being picky is the food.
