What's the low-down on the Grand Oasis Playa Cancun? |
Travel Info I've been looking into hotels in Cancun and have heard feedback regarding the Grand Oasis, Oasis Resorts, and Oasis Grand, but I'm not sure which resort is being discussed. Has anyone stayed at the Grand Oasis Playa and can give me some feedback? Is this a good place for 26-28 year olds? Travel Tips I have never stayed here. The reviews on trip advisor and other forums either love the resort or they are never going back. The feedback is 70 good 30 bad. I guess it depends on what room you get. It's rated a 4 star but getting 31/2 stars on popularity. It rates #62 out of 157. go to this site and read the reviews http://www.tripadvisor.com Good Luck. If you get a good price to stay there, try it. You sound like you want to go. Some people you can't satisfy, they will complain about everything. Others The grand is nice, but you have to remember there was just the big spring break crowd and they are still recovering from the hurricane a few years ago. I know Cozumel was devastated and Cancun's jungles were still pretty thrashed last year when I went. I would go online and get a virtual tour first then consult with a travel agent. We still had a great time, but it just wasn't the lush green canopy we had remembered from previous trips and the docks are still being renovated so there is still a lot of construction going on. The Oasis / Grand Oasis just finished upgrading to different room categories, it's a popular hotel in Cancun but the ratings sometimes aren't very good, The Grand Oasis Playa is different the the Oasis Grand, not sure which one you mean their are 8 where you stay at one play at all, try http://www.tripadvisor.com for current updates. The chain in a whole is very popular. =) It depends on what time of year ur going if u are going during spring break its not a good place, but after spring break it will be fine I loved it and all 3 hotels conect u can use the amenities in all of them and its all inclusive so its a great way to save money. |
