How much money should I take to Mexico? |
Travel Info Going to Cancun for two weeks at an all inclusive hotel. Thinking about maybe going for 2 excursions per week, maybe eat outside the hotel a few times..How much money should i take to be ok? Can you let me know in british pounds please? Travel Tips I bring a few hundred and my credit cards. =) Others When i went to Cancun we went on 2trips per week, and went to 2 clubs per week... I took 拢350 and a credit card.. i was fine.. Remember before you go to the club, because its all-inclusive your better of drinking for an hour or so, it will save you money on paying for drinks at the clubs... About 2000 dollars When I go I take $100 USD per day (50 pounds). This assumes that the hotel has already been paid for. The money is used just for sightseeing and shopping excursions. I buy my pesos BEFORE I leave the U.S. You should also take a debit card if you need more. Make sure the debit card has a visa or mastercard logo on it. The ATMs dispense money in pesos. The current exchange rate is $11 pesos to $1 USD. Most places will take U.S. dollars and only a few will take Canadian money. You are not likely to get anyone to take British pounds. Good luck and have fun! $56.50 i took 10,000 and i had alot left over in a few weeks i am going to Cancun too. i am from Uruguay (south America) and i had already asked this same question but in yahoo answers Mexico (in Spanish).After searching here and there, and having asked some friends that had gone there, i had figured it out that if you go to an all inclusive hotel (as i am going) you have to take about 100 US dolars per day (50 pounds). What i am doing these days before going cancun is checking in ther internet the tour packages (as to chichen itza, isla mujeres, etc) and with my calculator i am calculating more less how much money i am going to spend on these tours. The rest of money will be for all kind of shopping. Maybe we meet there!! LOL : ) |
