Travel Tips It's not hard at all, my sister got married there and it was beautiful. The Matrimonio Civil is performed by the Registro Civil via their justices. The justices perform these marriages in the offices of the Registro Civil or, for an additional fee, just about anywhere you specify. The Justices allow the saying of personal vows. Required documentation for bride and groom: (Civil Wedding) Valid Passport. Mexican entry visa Blood tests Valid birth certificate with seal (must be a certified copy). Four witnesses (can be provided) Divorce decree(s). (if applicable) =) Congrats Others It seems easy enough. Good Luck s if you want to get married legally you have to get a physical test (both bride and groom) about type of blood, diseases, etc (i am not sure if you have to get a license but i do not think so) and witnesses (about 2) My daughter was looking at getting married in Mexico. Too much hassle. To start with all the documents have to be translated from English into Spanish. And when you get the marriage license it has to be translated back into English. You must have a blood test taken in Mexico. We have decided on Jamaica, as no blood tests are needed and no translating. Jamaica needs your passport & birth certificate. Also a letter of no impediment. They want to know where you work & your fathers name. That's it. Real easy. It's not too hard if you have a little help! Best thing to do is to contact the concierge at where you are staying and they will walk you through the entire process. If you are not staying where there is a concierge, there are (at least here in Mazatlan) businesses that specialize in that exact thing! Just tell them what you want and they will arrange it all. |
