Xcaret or Xel-ha??? Going to Cancun!!!? |
Travel Info I want to swim with dolphins, snorkel and view an amazing eco park... but which one is better? They are both about the same price. I have many questions. *Which one is closer to cancun? *Which one has the best snorkeling? *Which one IS the best??? Thanks Just so you know... It's for our wedding anniversary! Travel Tips I myself liked Xcaret better for overall things to do. Xcaret had dolphin swimming, parrot enclosure(lots of them), jaguars, butterfly enclosure, horse show, and the best part is the Mayan show that starts at 7pm-9pm. You can spend all day there and not do it all. But if you want more snorkeling Xel-Ha was definitely better . Xel-Ha is about 90 percent aquatic. There is cliff jumping, rope tied to trees to swing from and a lazy river to flow thru.There were alot of fish all kinds small to very large just swimming all around you. And if you look close enough you can see starfish and even pickup a crab in a shell even though it says not to pick it up but i did i just wanted to see it closer that's all. If you have the funds and two days to do both because it takes a full day at each to appreciate them both then do them both cause they are different in their own way. Xcaret is closer to Cancun i don't remember the exact distance but its about 25miles further to Xel-Ha. Source(s): Been there myself. Other Travel Tips do it all! have a ball! happy anniversary! We went to Xcaret and we loved it. Xcaret is 45 miles from Cancun. Xel-Ha is 76 miles from Cancun. Just to give you a heads up Dreams Cancun has built a dolphin aquarium, it will be opening in a couple of weeks.
