What are the best things to do in Cancun (sightseeing type stuff)? |
Travel Info Going to Cancun on May 24, I know about the club scene and stuff (plan on doing a lot of that) but I want to know what cool sights there are to see there, historical sights, etc. Travel Tips There is so much to do their, swim with the dolphins, visit Xcaret, Holbox and Playa del Carmen. Check http://www.cancun.com for alot or info and http://www.cancuniversity.com. Cancun is famous the world over for its nightclubs. It is said that Cancun has something for everyone, and this is especially true after dark. While several splashy discos dominate the scene, most resort hotels offer live lobby music as well. Cancun nightlife means fun and entertainment: dance clubs, bars, parties, festivals, shows, restaurants, live music bands, and all that. Musical mixes of excellent DJs and exciting live shows are often featured. For those who love to dance, the Hotel Zone offers Cancun's best nightclubs. Special effects and laser and other state-of-the-art light shows provide a framework for non-stop music, which covers everything from rock and reggae to salsa and techno. Most have an all-you-can-drink cover charge. =) Have fun Others Travel inland a bit and visit the Mayan ruins of Chitsanitza (sorry I can't spell it correctly) It was great when I went and I learned a lot about the culture. Also try to speak Spanish whenever possible. I think it is just respectful to the locals that you speak their language when your in their country (or at least try)! Have Fun! Tulum (ruin site), Chichen Itza (ruin site) Visit Isla Mujeres (island off the coast of Cancun) Xel-Ha is a natural water park that is incredible and usually booked with trips to Tulum. Your concierge will have great trip ideas available! There are also snorkeling tours, jungle boat tours, for relatively little money... Have a GREAT TRIP! :) I would recommend Isla Mujeres, it was like a latin key west, the people were not as rude as in Cancun. It was cheaper, food and shopping wise, the exchange was also more better than what offered in Cancun. When you arrive in Cancun just take a ferry over to the island and rent a scooter or golf cart for the day and you will love it. On the beach there are restaurants that bring your food to you. Do not forget Eco Parks like Xcaret and the other one I forget the name of it. Those are so cool and beautiful. |
