What is the standard "tip" in Cancun? I know in the ststes it's about 15% of your check, but I am staying on

Travel Info
an all-inclusive so I won't really know what the check is. What should I tip for a meal for 2 people? Also, does everybody at the resorts expect to be tipped for everything? For example, the person that takes your baggage to your room, the person who brings your room svc. or the maid or the person who brings you up extra pillows, etc...? I just need to know what to expect so I take enough small bills with me. Thanks

Travel Tips
At your all inclusive resort tipping is included, I always tip the maids, and the bar staff , they do pay extra attention to you. Of course off site at restaurants and clubs I also tip for better service.

Most places regard tips as a reward for good or exceptional service. Unfortunately, certain nightclubs and bars may not provide good service unless you tip up front. In these situations, it's best to start off with a high tip and decrease with each drink ordered.

Restaurants and bars may include tips in the bill or tab, so be sure to check each charge carefully. If gratuities are not included, 15 percent is considered standard in the Mexican Caribbean. Unlike the United States, tipping cab drivers is not necessarily expected though it is perfectly acceptable if you chose to. Tipping the maid at your hotel, on the other hand, is an absolute must. All-inclusive hotels usually state that tips are included in the initial cost, but if you do chose to tip someone for exceptionally good service, be sure to do so discreetly.

when it's all inclusive you don't have to tip. a lot of resorts actually will not let you. it's included in the package. you shouldn't have to tip or pay for anything.
You don't have to tip but we usually do. We tip at least dollar or two for each bag to the bellmen, two or three dollars a day for the maid. $5 for dinner, two or three dollars for breakfast and lunch. Waiter bar service on the beach, a dollar a drink. You can tip more if someone goes above and behond serving you. For a 7 day vacation, we tip out $100-$150 to the staff on the resort. They really appreciate the tips. We bring $100 dollars in ones and $100 in fives for tips. This is only a guide.
Oh, no riped or torn bills, the banks in Mexico won't except worn out bills.
Have a great trip
s
just tip everyone a dollar...bring lots of them!
If you are all inclusive, then you are not responsible for tipping!!! It is included in the pkg! :)

Have a great trip! :)
