Travel Info Do you think that if someone puts a donkin donuts in cancun Mexico, people are going to buy, good or bad deal.? Travel Tips If Starbucks can make it charging the prices they do in Cancun then I'm sure Dunkin Donuts could as well. There are now three Starbucks in Cancun and another to open shortly. Not to mention the Haagan Daz, Subways etc etc which all make a killing here. Others If you put it in one of the hotel complexes or right next door, maybe. . . .? However consider the overhead at that location, also consider that people on vacation there want to indulge in local cuisine The fact that there are none yet should be a good indicator to you. Try a 'Pan Dulce' place instead or a 'Tommy's Americano' Personally, I don't think a donut place would go very well even in the hotel zone. If you aren't Mexican you may have a problem even getting permission to open a shop. If you really want to open a business in Cancun everyone I talk to seems to need lamp shades crazy but true. Learn how to make shades and open a little market in downtown, please. A large number of of the hotels are either all-inclusive or have meal plans. I can't see a lot of people going outside of their hotel to get a coffee and a donut when they can get that more conveniently and free at the breakfast buffet in their hotel. Also, while many of the tourists are American, many are not and the band isn't going to mean much to Canadians, Italians, Brits, etc. And as for Mexicans, I don't think it would be all that appealing to them either. It wouldn't appeal to me, I may be wrong but those are my thoughts. |
