Going Playa del Carmen, 1st wk of Aug., will there be tradewinds? How hot will it be? Any rain? |
Travel Info We know average temps are high 80's, but will it be somewhat breezey? Went to Ixtapa last year in August and it was hot and very humid - NO tradewinds. We will expect more of this weather in Playa del Carmen? Travel Tips it's hot all year round in cancun...but it's hurricane season in august (hurricane season is late july-november)...have fun on youre vacation! Others It should be very hot, always is in August you can check wunderground.com for stats but the weather is never really the same or what the forecast predicts. =) We went to Playa del Carmen in August 2 years ago and it was so hot and humid that we spent most of the time on the beach or in our AC rooms. We did not go anywhere. The best time to go there is November to March and then it gets too hot for me, (but that is just my opinion). It will be a little breezy and when it rains it does not last very long. It is a beautiful place with nice beaches and friendly people. We have been on vacation in Playacar about 14 times and we love it. Hope you have a great vacation! It will be VERY hot and very humid. Don't bank on any "tradewinds" or much wind in general. I go every year... I love it.. but yeah...it's hot. Where ya staying? I suggest Iberostar. Spend a day at Xel-Ha.. you'll cool right off and have an absolute blast (an entire day is not even enough). |
