All the hype in Cancun is at "the tip"... around the convention center. There's a bunch of bars and clubs; Daddy-O, Coco Bongo, etc...
Coco Bongo is the best club in Cancun. Daddy O's and Basix are a close second.
In the Hotel Zone. There is only one street because it is an island and the area is marked off by kilometers (that way you know how to get back to your hotel).
Anyway, most of the "hot spots" are around km 9 and km 10.

The hotel zone. Transportation is good with a lot of public buses and taxis.
