Myself and four girlfriends all 39 yrs of age are going to Cancun.? |
Travel Info We are going the last week of Nov. We are staying at a condo complex with no beachbar or bar at all. We're in the hotel zone. Where should we go to have cocktails on the beach during the day? I've heard some places don't like non-guests. I would like first hand info- no web sites please. Travel Tips Try Gran Melia Cancun which is not an all inclusive and therefore has a great pay bar besides the beach. I went there last year with 3 friends, all in our late thirties! Have a great time there! At night try eating in La destilleria, a great mexican restaurant with thousands of different tequila drinks, they have like a little museum of tequila. Also go to Carlos and Charlies, and Coco Bongo for a great party night. For a little bit of shopping, go to La Isla shopping mall, a beautiful open air mall with lots of handicrafts. Others Most places are all inclusives so they don;t have cash bars. The drinks are for their guests. If you tip though, the bartenders are probably willing to overlook that you are not a guest. If not, there are a few cash beach bars closer to the center of the zone, near where the major shopping are. There are also lots of chain restraunts with patios for drinks overlooking the ocean and the lagoon. My family has been to Cancun a few times. We stayed at "Fiesta America Condesa". They have a nice lounge.It's open and breezy if its not too hot. We would go there even if we weren't staying there and they were really nice. Alot of great memories at this hotel. |
