What are some fun things to do in Cancun, Mexico? |
Travel Info I'm going to Cancun with my family and my boyfriend. My boyfriend and I will be mostly on our own, but also have some time to spend with the family. What are some exciting activities to do, places to eat, clubs/bars to visit, and sightseeing adventures to conquer? I'm mostly looking for things to do with my boyfriend. Travel Tips Definitely go snorkeling..that a blast. Im not sure of your age, or if you're even into it..but talk to your hotel about a party hopper or equivalent. its a 4 or so bar hopper for a good price. All you can drink. We usually just get to the hotel and ask other people that are leaving what they did and what they wish they would've done. We've gotten great and not so great ideas, but either way it was spontaneous and fun! Others One of the most amazing activities to do there is snorkeling, the sea water is really clear. You can go to Xcaret, a beautiful park near Cancun where you can swim with dolphins, snorkel with thousands of colored fishes (Surely you'd wish to take lots of pictures under the sea!) or go thru an underground river. In Cancun, you can take a tour thru the jungle in jetski, or a boat called Nautibus, where you can see under the sea. Parasailing, banana boats, jet skis, snorkeling, horseriding on the beach. The Mayan Ruins are about an hour drive away from the hotel zone. Most hotels offer activites. There are a lot of shops and restaurants on the hotel strip. The possibilities are endless. When you get to the airport, you are usually given a bag with all kinds of brochures and pamplets with different offers, activites and coupons. You can look in there to get some great ideas. There is also an Island right off the coast called "Isla Mujeres". It is a short ferry ride. You can catch the ferry over there and spend the day there. You ride mopeds and golfcarts all over the island. There is a turtle farm & all kinds of hand made crafts. Its a great day trip. Have fun! Check out Xcaret or Xel-ha...they are ecological parks where you can swim with dolphins and do other water activities. Coco Bongo is a must see club....it is by far the best club and show in Cancun.....Daddy O's is a close second. There's a party bus that you can take...it costs about $40 US money for transportation to and from the clubs and all drinks at the clubs. It's well the worth the price! Take a tour of the Mayan ruins...I recommend Chichen Itza. It's amazing. Tulum is another place to see the ruins but it's smaller. Do your shopping at Plaza La Isla mall, it's an outdoor mall and has some really good restaurants to check out. Have fun!!! |
