Planning to go to cancun around mid july... how r the foods? how hot is it? |
Travel Info planning to go to Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Hotel at Cancun in mid july. since this hotel is not all inclusive, i have to eat outside. i would like to know how expensive food are? any place u recommend? also how hot does it get there? Travel Tips I have never been to cancun. However I am planning a trip there and have studied it quite a bit. First of all the place your staying at I hear, is fabulous. I plan to hang out there when I go. The popular restaurants are mostly chains and very Americanized so if you eat at those it will be what you are used to however, if you eat at local mexican restaurants and drink mexican beer it's much cheaper. July is hot and muggy bring bug spray and high spf. Clubs have all inclusive cover charges for example- $40 all drinks included. Google earth your hotel-you'll see how fabulous it is. Others It is hot there. We went there last July. It didn't bother us though. They have mostly the same restaurants we have here. We went to a pizza hut, mcdonalds, rainforest cafe, hard rock cafe.... I read somewhere that they have too many restaurants there. You usually don't have to wait and the prices are very reasonable. Like the US, most of the restaurants connected to a hotel charge way too much. One think to keep in mind is they are much slower and laid back than we are in the US. I didn't tip at the first restaurant we ate at because the waitress took forever to do everything. We soon realized that was the norm there. They also look at the receipt at the table to see how much you tipped them. One more thing-you have to ask for your check. It is considered rude to them to just give it to you. |
