Is there danger of dengue fever in cancun mexico? |
Travel Info We want to go but I got dengue in Puerto vallarta. Travel Tips I would definitely use repellant with deet if you wander away from the resort. No sense taking chances. I went on a canopy tour in P.V. and those were some big nasty mosquitos. Others Wow. What the heck were you doing in PV that you contracted dengue? That's pretty rare. Sorry to hear. No. Very very unlikely. Dengue is carried by mosquitos. There have been some cases in Cancun but in the downtown areas. I would say that in the resorts you are not at risk. They often spray repellant in the resorts and maybe you could buy some repellant to avoid being bitten. I live here and have never heard of any tourists contracting it. |
