Who's been to cancun (non-spring break)? |
Travel Info My boyfriend and I have been thinking about going in late July. The hotel we're looking at is called Ambiance Villas. Anyone have any tips, deals, or experiences to share? Travel Tips Ambiance Villas is situated on the beach, located a block away from shopping, dining and exciting nightlife, Ambiance Villas features some of the largest suites in Cancun, including tastefully and comfortably furnished studios with kitchenette and 1-, 2- and 3- bedroom suites with complete kitchens, incorporated into a full-service resort. Please email if you need any help planning your trip.Thanks. quincy@dynamicdestinationsinc.... Others yeah, stay away from all the cheesy places meant to attract white tourists. Mexico is a beautiful place with so much culture, but of course big business has to rape that too. just try to stick to the off beaten path. they have these cool theme praks there that u can go to. u should probably plan what ur going to do before u go though My tip would be to deff. go to an all inclusive hotel (the Riu's are nice), and one with a good selection at the restraunts available. If you book with Apple Vacations they usually have good deals on the Riu Cancun. They also offer something where you can go to two activities such as horseback riding, party hopper, scuba diving, snorkeling, four wheeling, booze cruise, etc which is 60 dollars a person per activity, and then they'll give you a free dinner at a restraunt in town. I did the party hopper and snorkeling which was amazin. If you are the party type, don't forget to go to Senor Frogs. Lots of free shots for woman :-) http://www.applevacations.com I've been to cancuun 3 times and Play del Carmen 2 times. It is very beautiful. Be sure to go to Chichinitza (sp) if you have time. That is the Mayan ruins and it is awesome... I liked better than Tulum. A friend was just their and did the ATV excursion and said that was awesome too. Be careful about what you eat and have fun bartering when you shop! They expect it and you can get some great deals on hammocks, marble items and anything else you wish to buy... do this down town. Some of the tours are very cheezy so beware but be sure to do some snorkeling. Cancun is a party area though. Play del carmen is about an hour south and is more laid back. Have fun! |
