When going to Cancun, Mx...is it better to get all-inclusive to include meals?

If you have money to buy, it can be a great idea or and a good opcion. The meal is not expensive.

When I went to Cancun I found it more enjoyeable not to feel obligated to eat at a specific place. You will probably want to do day trips to Chitsanitsa (sp?) and Casamel, etc. Why feel like you've wasted money. Just be careful where you eat! Our systems are not used to the water and other things and you will have side effects no matter where or what you eat. We had our breakfasts in the resort where we stayed but other than that we expermimented with different places. Have a GREAT time!!!!!
In my opinion Cancun isn't the place to get an all-inclusive package, but many people still go with it. There are so many restaurants to try out and eat at and it's safe too (just use common sense). If you're the type of person that likes to try new things or if you only eat one meal a day or if you're the type that likes to be out and about, then I definetely don't recommend all-inclusive hotels. On the other hand, if you're gonna stay at the hotel most of the time, or you don't care what you eat as long as you're fed, then do the all-inclusive. The quality of food is not all that great. And the free alcohol, it starts gettin old when they serve you in small cups or the bartenders aren't worth a crap...

I personally wouldn't do the all inclusive thing at any of the Mexican destinations, there's too many options out there to dine at with superb quality. Had you been going to the Dominican Republic or Jamaica, then yes, that would be your way to go. Hope this helps.
I always do all inclusives..You dont have to eat there if your in the mood to go out and eat or just dont like what they have to offer. But if you want a quick meal or decide to say at the resort for the day it worth it...Good Luck!
You know - for me, I would only do all inclusive. I don't want to have arguments with my wife about spending a few bucks on a beer when it's 95+ and I'm on the beach. Plus, who wants to carry money on the beach. Plus, it's nice not to have to think too much when you are on vacation.

If you go for the all-inclusive it can be pretty mindless. You know, breakfast buffet, lunch at the pool snack bar, etc. You can have dinner at your hotel or if you want something different then you can always go out. But either way, if you got the all-inclusive there is always the easy, no brainer option. It's there if you want it and if you don't you can go out.
I'm an all-inclusive kinda gal!

Before moving to Cancun permanently my husband and I would come down and stay at an all-inclusive. That didn't mean that we didn't go out to try other restaurants it meant that if we were hungry or thirsty we were taken care of. It really was the answer for us.

Ask a dozen folks receive a dozen different answers. Go with your gut and have a wonderful time. Cancun is a great place to visit and live.
I think all-inclusive is the way to go. You don't have to eat all your meals at the hotel. But I think it's a good option to have a quick breakfast, lunch, or snack. Then you can have more money to spend for dinner at one of the many restaurants Cancun has to offer.
The all-inclusive plan I had also included all alcohol, which was nice - drink a bit before hitting the clubs.
