What sites/events/etc. should I not miss when I go to Cancun? |
Travel Info Planned a trip for cancun and I was wondering if anyone knew if there were any events or sites that are a Must See in Cancun. Travel Tips Almost every resort has a tour desk in the lobby, so if you are booking after you arrive I'd suggest just using the agency at your hotel. As to what one thing you should do, it really depends on your interests. But if you've never seen any of the Mayan ruins, I'd say either Tulum or Chichen Itza would be at the top of my list of recommendations. One of my favorite things to do is spend the day on Isla Mujeres, so if you are into a laid-back small island R&R day, I'd highly recommend Isla Mujeres as well. =) Others at night come to Carlos n Charlies or Sr. Frog to have good seafood come to El Shrimp Bucket to have water sports come to Aqua World bullfights.......... toulom is near & if you can Coba or Chichen itza Cancun is Las Vegas on the water with tons of restaraunts & clubs. They are all about the same. Take a drive South and see Playa del Carmen, a charming town with great shops & beaches. Also, a day trip to Xcaret would be fun. It's a huge property where they have different shows, swimming with the dolphins, swimming & snorkeling in a protected area. If you have children they would love it. A bit further along is Tulum, a sleepy town with beautiful, pristine beaches & the ruins of Chichenitza. Been there many times. |
