Latin Clubs in Cancun Mexico and Non Touristy spots? |
Travel Info My friends and I are going to Cancun Mexico in about a week. I would like to know from someone who has been there before where are the Latin Clubs where they play Salsa, Merengue and Bachata. Reggaeton ? I have heard of Azucar and Coco Bongos. Any others? Specifically where are the ones that the locals go to? Also where do locals hang out other than the club or bar? We are Dominican so we aren't looking for the typical American vacation. Thanks! Travel Tips Then take the bus (or a taxi) downtown and go to Sabor Latino, it`s located in China Town Mall. (I know.... it`s not logical!) The cover charge is around 10 usd. And it will be full of locals, it is a big place. Live music begins at midnight. Be prepared to dance until 5.00am! Cocobongo is more like a night club and Azucar has great latin live music but there will be lots of tourists. Others you should go to a club that is placed on the laguna i don't remember the name of it but it's the only one on the laguna also i've heard that bulldog is full of mexicans and maybe there's a mambocafe in downtown but i'm not sure You could go to Mambo Cafe in the hotelzone which has just opened up. Open Tuesday to Sunday 10pm til 5am On Thursdays they give free Salsa classes between 9pm and 10pm. |
