What is the best time of year to visit Cancun? |
Travel Info My fiance and I would really like to go there for our honeymoon and we want to plan our wedding date around the best time to visit. Please let me know the best time to go there, the worst times to go there, where you stayed and fun stuff you did. Thanks!! Travel Tips November. Hurricanes have passed. You don't have the thousands of tourists because it's not yet December. Because of this, you will be able to enjoy a lot more the tours, clubs and restaurants because they won't be very crowded. The worst time is any time as peak season and hurricane season. Also, I would suggest for you to stay at Playa del Carmen, since it's more cozy than Canc煤n, and it is a lot easier to go around. Also, near Playa del Carmen you have Xel-H谩 and Xcaret which are one of the best places to go. Also, you have near Tul煤m. And Chichen-Itz谩, well it's practically the same time away from Canc煤n. Canc煤n is great to stay, but I think it's more for families or for teenagers with their hormones going wild. Others You want to be careful of hurricane season, which is officially from June 1 to November 1, but they don't usually get started until late July or early August. Hard to tell. We actually went in late June of last year, and it was really nice. It was super hot, but that just gave us an excuse to hang out in the pool or on the beach all day. It was comfortable enough at night to walk around and shop and stuff. I went in February and it was perfect weather! In the spring/summer it is unbearably hot. Miserable actually. Snorkling was great. The water is an aqua color and clear as can be. You should at least visit Carlos N Charlie's. It's famous. I just went in May. It was really nice, but starting to get a little too warm. May would definitely be the cutoff before summer. I stayed at Club Med. The people there were sooooo great, plus it was all inclusive. They have some great tours to the pyramids and other stuff. Plan to pay around $100. I would not plan an activity everyday as you will be really sore. Hope you have a great time! |
