Travel Info We've been invited to an event in Edinburgh, in August. Living in South Wales, and having 4 children, we have decided that it'd probably be quicker and easier to fly. My mum says we won't need our passports as we'll be staying in the UK, but my friend thinks we will. My husbands passport has expired, so we'll need to know in plenty of time, so he has time to apply for another. Who's right? Travel Tips !!! Don't worry, we'll let you in. We like Welsh people; don't get enough of them. This time of year it's all Italian teenagers on language courses, yawn No you don't need your passports unless it's NEW South Wales you're coming from. (If so, definitely fly.) But if it's the nearer one, you might find a family railcard gets you there cheaper. Others not only valid passports, but also the details pages of your passports must be translated into gaelic, and you need a visa if you plan to stay longer than 27 Burns nights. Oh, and they won't let you in if there are any England stamps in your pasports..... You shouldn't need a passport, but you will need a valid photo ID. I would check on the website of the airline as to what IDs are acceptable You are travelling within the UK so you don't need a passport to travel. You will, however, need photo id to board a commercial flight (driving licence, work id, passport etc). - If you don't fly, you certainly won't need a passport. If you fly, you'll need some sort of photo ID, but it probably won't need to be a passport as you're travelling within the UK. Check the website of the airline you're flying with in plenty of time though - I assume you're flying with bmibaby...
