Visa acquiring procedure for spain being a pakistani national,and how much period is required to accomplish?

my husband is in spain,he is living there from 2 years.how much time will be required if he want to call me there?and if i apply directly through embassy,when i will be able to complete the proedure?If my husband can call me on visit visa,if he calls me through visit visa how much time will be required ?what about study visa?i am living in pakistan,having masters degree in library and information science from punjab university lahore.my husband is reluctant to call me there.how i would be able to reach my husband.please help me in this case.thak you.sobia
