Barcelona - off the beaten track?

Hey, I'm going to Barcelona in a few weeks for 3 days and would like to do a day trip to somewhere a bit off the beaten track, mountains or nature or something like that. All my travels have just been to big cities so far and I'm getting a bit sick of them. Anyone got any suggestions of something that's not too far on the train?

i suggest you go to Montserrat, it's really beautiful up there. Should take about an hour on train from Barcelona city center.
