Decent Hotels Chandigarh?

Hi, I am from Bangalore and would be visiting Chandigarh for an Interview.I would be glad if anybody could kindly provide me info about some decent hotels to stay around 2 days, expected tariff Rs 550/- to Rs 800.Also place which are a must see...what to shop etc.

Travel Tips

You may stay and move around Sector 17 of Chandigarh(Chd). This is one of the busiest place of Chd, with the Interstate bus terminus and the oldest office-and-shopping complex in Sector 17. Facing the bus terminus, there are economy to moderate hotels - Hotel Pankaj, Alankar etc - you may probably get a decent room around your tariff on single occupancy basis.

For places to visit in Chd, you should visit its famous Rock Garden and probably Chandigarh lake. Rose garden of Chandigarh is also known place. For shopping, if you are interested in Punjabi dresses/stuff, you may pick some from there; rest all you get in Bangalore itself, carrying may not be worth.

After reaching Chandigarg, go to Sector 35- B or Sector - 35 - C commercial area. u'll find a number of good budget hotels there... wishing u good journey and stay at chandigarh...rgrds...ib
