Travel Info I am looking for a decent travel at 5am from chennai International airport to Egmore station. How is the Call taxi rates and who does provide an very good service? thanks in advance. Travel Tips Yes -you can have Call taxis and they will reach you within 30-45 minutes in the morning. You pay them as per meter and there will be no CHEATING like in Autos. Don't take autos. Pre-paid taxis are aslo available at the airport. Contact Help desk. Or the bast way would be just walk down from Airport if you do not have much luggage, crossing the main road (Kathipara - Tambaram road) you get TRISULAM station and you will get lot of electric trains going to Egmore and beyond say beach, etc. It is very fast and cheap also. Others get an ambassador (its a prepaid taxi) there hould be a service desk at chennai airport and you let them know where you are going and they charge a standard rate (could be about Rs. 200) my undying love for chennai Security -checked Taxis (cars) are available at airport. all time.
