How to book on-line train-reservation ticket & what is the basic requierment for online booking? |
Travel Info I am new to use internet,i am owning a cottage industries, i use to travel through train for my business purpose & for my family tour to history place in south india. I want to know what are the basic formaltis required for on-line booking & how to book on-line train-reservation ticket. Travel Tips All u need is two basic things. one is credit card, two a photo identity card. There are two types of tickets. e ticket and i ticket. E ticket can be booked only if ur date of journey is 3days in advance, an I ticket can be booked few hrs before the preparation of chart and only if u have vacancy ie no waitlist tkt can be booked. Log on to www.irctc.co.in and create an id for ur self and give the address where u need the tkt to be delivered. Follow the instructions and u will be able to get ur reservation from ur office.U can book ur tkt between 4 Am to 11 PM. all days. Check the site : www.indianrail.gov.in. here u willbe able to know the reservation availability of ur train and date of journey. First check this site plan ur travel and then log on to the above site and book ur tkt. Also note down the station codes. it will be easy for booking. Others credit card and passport.. you can visit http://www.indianrail.gov.in/index.html... and book your ticket on line and pay by credit card..they will post the ticket to your house. For some special trains you can print your own ticket after paying by credit card!
