Is there any Bus Service from Chennai Airport to Tirupati / Tirumala ? |
Travel Info I am travelling to Chennai by flight. I would like to visit Tirupati and want to know if there is any direct bus service / volvo service from chennai airport to Tirupati ? Travel Tips buses available from Combed busstand. if you want save money just outside airport you can catch buses to Koyembdu Bus terminus No. 70 series. but these buses are more crowded. there are a lot of ANdharapradesh Transport Buses, Tamilnadu Transport buses leaving every 10 minutes. Autos may charge 100 to 120 en quire at airport any shuttle service to Koyembedu. There are four trains in a day to Tirupathi for noon two and afternoon two. Further more trains to Renigunta Junction at different times visit Indian Railways website for exact timings. You can go to Central Railway Station by Shuttle Service or Just Opp. to Airport "Trisulam Railway Station" you can get down at Park Railway Station and just walk to Central. If you want package tours contact Tamil Nadu Tourism or AP Tourism in their respective website which is more convenient. All the best. But if you can go to Koyambedu Interstate Bus Terminus, you can get buses to Tirumala & Tirupathi. Bus stand is about 10 kms. from airport. There are also trains, from 6.00a.m. in the morning. Check with Railways for correct train, suiting to air timings. I'm not sure abt buses from airport itself. But if u can reach Chennai, there are a plethora of buses(govt. and private) to go to tirumala.. nothing to worry there is 24 x 7 bus service to Tirupati balaji from Chennai which is at a comfortable distance.......buses originate from Mount road which is the heart of Chennai and bookings are easily available ......one can opt between a/c or non a/c service also.....as for volvo buses i am not sure and you will have to check it out there itself ......if you intend to put up in a hotel than even they will get the booking done for you.....which is not much of a problem......even the same day itself... no direct bus service yet There are no direct buses from the Airport. You will have to get to the Koyambedu Mofussil bus terminus for buses to Tirupati |
