Hotels near Chennai Airport with AC Rooms and western style Bathrooms? |
Travel Info We are planning to come to Chennai in the middle of January 2007 and we hope to stay for about 8 weeks. We would like to know details about decent Hotel rooms (for 2) with AC. We may be also interested in knowing about renting AC 2-Bedroom Apartments for 2-3 months, if possible. Considering ur statement "decent hotels" i think there are quite a few that match that level. ANd ofcourse there are many higher grade hotels too. Starting with the highest grade, TAJ corromendel.Its about 22 to 23 kms of Airport. Its is situated in Nungambakkam. Its the best of all. But, i assume it to be the costliest of all. Next u have Le Royal De Meridien, which is the closest to airport it may be within 3 or 4 kms. 7kms to the max.Its also a good hotel. Next u have the GRT Grand Days, situated in T.Nagar. Its about 25 to 30 kms off airport. Its one of the flourishing star hotel. There are many more hotels, like the Trident which is very close to airport but i don't think its a 5 star hotel. U have Chola, Park-Sheraton, The Park which is very near to the TAJ Corromendel. And i don't mean to disappoint u but, i don't think u'll be getting an AC 2 bedroom apartment for rent. If your work is in the city, then I suggest you to take service apartments in the city itself.Here is one such place, which is quite decent & with a home atomsphere. http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldetails... Apart from these, there are numerous hotels, but may cost you a lot. Seeing your stay is beyond the usual one or two weeks, I feel that rather staying in expensive hotels with an artificial atmosphere, better try this option. Hope this helps you. |
