Travel Info Where can I rent a Bike (Bullet - Enfield) in Chennai, I need it for 3 days for a trip to Pondicherry. We will need two - three Enfield bikes. Travel Tips There is only one Enfield Dealer in Chennai on Anna Salai Road down near the American Embassy. A very small shop. He may have one to rent but I really doubt you are going to find 2 or 3. It just does not work that way in India. It is not easy riding a motorcycle in India. There are no trafic laws, rules or regulations. If you have never been to India forget about going to Pondy on a motorcycle. (Information provided by an America living here off and on for 33 years.) I do ride a motorcycle so I know what I am talking about. It is a nightmare. If you were involved in an accident you have zero rights or protections. The police will not help you except take your passport until you pay for all damages and settle with the parties involved. Others Its hard to get rental bikes there....my sis searched the whole place but cud find none....try calling the travel agencies...they may help you out.... |
