Travel Tips Mr. Rajesh had tried to give some guidance but I think it would not work, as the temple authorities give the contract to some Gurukal and they may not do it upto your satisfaction. Couple of years back i had my Shasthi Aptha Poorthi celebrated at Tirukadaiyur and I suggest you to do the same way. It has become a very commercial affair at this temple and all the Gurukal and every one has become business minded and they take lot of money. Please contact the person given below well in advance and talk to him whatever you want pujas and homams you want to perform. He will arrange for everything including the Sastrigals (the number you may require - 4 should be alright). from Mayavaram. You can also stay in the Temple guest house or in any chathiram nearby. Do not go to any Hotel, which are very costly. You can talk to him and he will arrange. You can tell my name but I doubt if he will recognize as lot of persons come there daily.
