It is India that actually has an out of control population problem soon to pass China`s population. HCM ONE FATHER(!) ONE MOTHER AND ONE CHILD. ANYTHING MORE THAN THAT SHOULD BE FORCEFULLY ABORTED/KILLED. A/K LMA KOBE/ We could educate the people of india that every family has a part to play in this role and the government also has a part. Instead of penalising and punishing people who have more than 1 child, they can introduce bonus incentives or payments annually to families that have only 1 child eg 300Rp a month or 3600Rupees a year. For those who have 2 children will receive just 100Rupees a month or 1200Rupees a year. The situation is not bad as the overall population will still be the same and not increase. Normally the poor and uneducated are those who have more children. We can provide sterilisation for mothers who have 2 children. If we follow this rule for 20 years, our population, poverty and problems would be lesser. If you notice, the congested areas in Chennai are mostly populated with lower class & slums, where 30% of population lives. No one is bothered to take notice of their life standard & awareness about being a part of the society. Government & NGO's should come forward to visit such areas, educate the people live in slums about family planning, provide them basic amenities etc., As long as this is not done,you wont see any progress in population control. People in slum are downtrodden& feel left out. Children are sold for illicit purposes & made to beg by various mafias which thrive in slums. |
