Accommodation in an apartment say in Chennai = 6 * 2500 = 15000 Rs Food : 180 days * 30 = 5400 Rs Clothing, other personal expense : 5000 Rs you can manage with 25K Rs if you are planning a stay in Chennai like cities. In sub urbans you would hardly need around 12-15K INR Others ten dollars. lol. It depends on the state that you prefer to stay. For Andhra and Tamil Nadu, it will be : Accomadation: Rs. 400.00 shared with two or more Food - Breakfast with coffee: Rs. 10.00 per day = 300/month Lunch (full meals) : Rs. 15/day=450/month Dinner: Rs. 20/day=600.00 So per month = 400+300+450+600 = 1750.00 For 6 months 1750 x 6 = 11500.00 with non-veg and outings it should be Rs.15000 (1 USD = 42 Rs) If you are planning to stay in a city like coimbatore, it is a pretty costly affair. The rent for bachelors is very high since it is being considered as a cultural hub. Let me assume that you are going for a small house where the rent alone would be Rs 3000/-( A decent house costs that much!). 10 month rent as advance... So totally 30000/-. If you are taking up a good restaurant for your food, the costs are sky high. You would have to spend Rs130/- aprrox. per day. The other costs like transportation are usually high in this city. It depends on the type of hotel,mode of transport when visiting places and choice of food you prefer In general 100 dollars/day and 40,000/- dollars for 6 months,is a reasonable amount for inside visit on moderate range. |
