Bank opp de airport you have a local rlwy stn which takes you to chennai central Stn for jus 10 bucks in 10 mins.. The best way to travel around is rent a car , autorickshaws will fleece you lock, stock & barrel.Good Luck! Others who gave you a star, when i cannot see any answers? it is around 20 K.M and the best way is if u have luggage to carry then u can take a taxi or u can go by electric train Auto Riksa There is a local railway station just outside the air port u will just get out of the airport with ur lugguage and cross the road it will take just 5 minute to reach the railway station take the ticket to chennai central railway station.it is the best and cheap way to go there. if u want to spent more you can take rikshaw or taxi also. As said in the earlier answers there is a suburban railway station right opposite the airport. Take a train upto park station from there the Central station is a walkable distance. Or else hire a call taxi from the airport. Dont try an auto becoz they fleece like anything. About 18 Kms. By helicopter, ideally, considering the traffic snarl, that you may encounter. There is EMU service available just accross the road when come out of the Airport. Get down at the Park Rly station and walk over to Chennai Central or Egmore Station. |
