By bus or train upto Dindigul or Madurai and from there to Thekkady. Others by walk... Best way is to reach Madurai (road/rail/air). From Madurai by road to Cumbum,Kumily,Thekkady. Plenty of buses and taxis. Take a Bus (9-10 hours) / Train (8-9 hours) / Flight (1 hour) to Madurai from Chennai. Then as per your plan of vacation, take a bus or cab to Thekkadi. (Around 180 Kms, if not wrong) Munnar is 110 Kms from here... People usually cover these two places on vacation. If you decent on the other side, you can reach Cochin about 140 Kms from Munnar. Take a cab and enjoy on your own... (if you have a car... it will be the best) Own experience |
