How to travel from chennai station to airport? |
Travel Info please tell me know how far the chennai airport is from the station and whats the best way to get there (with luggage), how long approx it should take (afternoon time), and approx how much it should cost (so that am not blindly cheated there!) Travel Tips It's around 17 kms. You can take a call taxi available in the station premises.You will find the stand to your right while coming out of the station.The cost should not exceed Rs.250/-or thereabouts.It will take you between 30-45 mins. If the luggage is less you can engage a pre paid auto at the entrance of the station but within the premises.Go to the assistance counter both for call taxi and pre-paid auto. Others From which station? If from Chennai Central Railway station you could catch the suburban train to Tambaram in the Park railway station which is opposit to the Central Railway station and you could get down in Trisoolam Station and reach the airport. If from Chennai Egmore Railway station you could again catch the suburban train to Tambaram and you could get down in Trisoolam Station and reach the airport. The ticket price in the suburban train would not exceed 8 Indian rupees. It would take around a solid but not more than One hour from any of the stations. . I dont live in Chennai but recently went to Chennai to attend one of my frnd marriage. From Chennia Central Station, take a call taxi and ask them to drop you in airport. We went firstly to Mylapore which took around 30 minutes & then we went to airport which took another 40 minutes. I believe it will take around a hour to reach Airport from railway station & cost will come in between 250/- to 300/- Airport is about 18 kilometer from Central station. You can engage an auto rickshaw, or call taxi to go to Airport. It may take about one hour.It goes via mount road and then GST road. it is a straight road from central station. You may incur about rs. 250 for the trip. it will take hardly 40 mins from chennai station to airport ... either you can get in suburban train and get down at tirusulam station, or get can prepaid call taxi......the cost will be only within 200 rupees. |
