Can someone tell me what are the timings when we can get a bus from Chennai to Vailankani(Nagapattinam)? |
Travel Info I am planning to visit Nagapattinam. I wanted to know when would the buses start from Chennai and upto which time? Like what is the earliest when the buses start and when is the last bus to Nagapattinam? Do we have to take the bus from Koyambedu Bus Stand or any other bus stand? If someone could give me this information it would be great! Travel Tips Nagapatinam is of overnight journey from Chennai. There are many buses of State Express Transport Service from Koyambedu. It is convenient to go by night buses. There are buses starting every 20/30 minutes from 7.00 p.m. to midnight. You will not get bus for Nagapatinam from any other place and you have to go only to Koyambedu.- Source(s): - Other Travel Tips there are many direct bus from koyembedu to Nagapattinam , every half an hour there is a bus. buses are there up to mid night, but the frequency is only upto 10pm. Nagapatinam is about 350 km from chennai. There are two different routes - one is thru ECR via pondy - chidambaram and the other thru Mayiladuthurai. It takes u about 8 hrs journey. There are lot of buses from CMBT (koyambedu) for almost every 15 min in the evening from 8.00 pm to 11 pm and during day time it will be around 30/40 min a bus. You can get a bus even at guindy / tambaram if the rush of the selected hours is less. Morning u can get the first bus at around 4 am. Even u can go to Chidambaram and Mayiladuthurai and from there u can continue ur journey.* From 4 am to midnight you have a bus every one Hour.After 6 pm you have every half an hour. In the absence of immediate bus tou can take Karaikal/Mayiladuthurai or Chidambaram bus and board the connecting bus. Kotambedu is the starting point.You can board the same bus en route at Vdapalani,Ashok Pillar or Kathipara. |
