Things to do in Chicago? |
Travel Info We're going to Chicago on Friday and we've never been there so we're clueless as to things to do there. Any recommendations? Places to see, things to do, places to eat--got any ideas? Thanks! Travel Tips You must have pizza! Our personal favorite is Lou Malnati's! Depending on your budget Le Colonial on Rush is an excellent restaurant. They also have a bar upstairs that's awesome! Orso's Restaurant in Old Town is a great Italian restaurant!! We always take our guests to the Signature Lounge at the top of the John Hancock building for drinks/coffee/desserts! The view is out of this world! The Bean, Crown Fountains, and Buckingham Fountain at Millenuium Park are all must sees!! All the old mansions in the Gold Coast are nice! Of course there is all of the shopping on Michigan Avenue! Lincoln Park Walk the path along the Lake Front Museums Architecture Boat Tours Definitely hit the Pancake House for breakfast! So many things to do...... As someone already mentioned... metromix.com is a great website! Good luck! Unfortunately, I think it's supposed to rain here all weekend but it's usually just drizzle. Source(s): I live in Chicago Other Travel Tips First and foremost in my opinion you have to go to the Museum of Science and Industry. Next the Shedd Aquarium and Field Museum. Navy Pier is good also. I could live in MSI I love the place and unfortunately there is nothing in Atlanta that even comes close. Use to live in Chicago. Chicago is a great city! If you like art museums, go to the Art Institute. Its a truly world class museum. If you don't care for that sort of thing, at least take pictures with the lions out front.
