Do the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) trains operate on Saturdays? |
Travel Info I wanted to know if the CTA trains opperate on Saturdays. My friends and I are trying to get from Millinium Station up to the Lincoln Park Zoo by train. Does the "L" go there? Travel Tips Yes CTA runs 24 hours with the exception of the Evanston Express (purple line), Skokie Swift (Yellow line), and Ravenswood (brown line) they only run to a certain time where as the Red and Blue and Orange line run 24/7. Yeah you take the red line from any station along State street and get off at Fullerton and catch the bus up to Lincoln Park Zoo and walk over to the zoo. Others cta trains do operate on saturdays. but i don't know if the L goes to millinium station http://www.yourcta.com Lincoln Park Zoo would be a bit of a walk for the nearest train station, they could get off at either Armitage or Fullerton Ave and walk over. yes trains operate 24/7...there is no Millenium Station. the closest stations are on wabash (above ground) and state (below ground) west of Millenium Park. Yes, the "L" runs on Saturdays, but actaully to get to the Lincoln Park Zoo you probably don't want to take the L - it ends up too far west. If you are starting at Millenium Station, just walk up to Randolph and Michigan and take a 151 bus north, which will wind its way up right to the front entrance of the Lincoln Park Zoo. |
