Travel Tips There is Navy Pier which is really nice and then theres the Magnificent Mile which looks really great for Christmas time with all the window displays they have.. Also theres the Planeterium which is really cool to check out the stars and I think they have a film they play on IMAX there. Also the Shedd Aquarium is really cool they have beautiful scenery with some of the coolest exotic fish you have ever seen...For the night life there is a ton of Clubs and bars on Clark Street with a diversity of music from salsa, to techno, gothic, rock, to rap to r&b....ect.... There is a site on the net just look up www.choosechicago.com Others The Art Institute of Chicago, Navy Pier, shopping, restaurants. good luck getting into an Oprah taping. I've lived here my whole life and still haven't been able to get in. There are ton's of mueseum, great restaurants, bars, clubs, lots of interesting neighborhoods and architecture, the theater district is great, blues clubs. This is a great website to checlk out what events may be going on during your visit. http://metromix.chicagotribune.com/... the museums are nice or go to navy pier it is down on lakeshore drive and there is a museum nearby also the zoo is pretty cool wait for the next plane out at the airport ;o) Go to the House of Blues. In the restaurant (go early to get a table) there is usually a live show or check the show schedule for the theatre. Check-out the bar in the lobby too - -sometime there are live performances in there! The "Yes! Yes! Don't Tell Me!" show taping. (Most weeks at the Chase Auditorium). |
