Travel Info Going to Chicago...What's fun to do in Chicago ? Travel Tips There's lots to do and think of one thing you like there could be a hundred places for you to do it. There's a lot of great shopping downtown along Michigan Ave and Rush Street. I can recommend some places to eat at Edwardo's natural pizza in Printers Row, Rainforest Cafe, Gino's East, and Lalo's. If you like clubbing I would check out www.Metromix.com for some of the best places. Some clubs have guest lists you can get on so you don't have to pay a cover charge, but your only bet is to get there before the time they start charging so you can get in. If you like theater they got a lot of off broadway to broadway shows playing at different theaters around Chicago. Others Definately make a trip to the Shedd Aquarium located in downtown Chicago. www.sheddaquarium.org Gee, there's tons of fun because I was born there. There's so much l cannot type them all down! Dear Reader, You could visit the Buckingham Fountain at Grant Park, Congress Pkwy. and Columbus Drive 312/742-7529. It the biggest fountain in the world! You could visit The Hancock Observatory at 875 N. Michigan Ave.888/875-VIEW You could also visit the Navy Pier at600 E. Grand Ave. 312/595-PIER outside Chicago call 800/595-PIER Enchanted Castle Restaurant & Entertainment Complex 1103 S. Main St., Lombard 630/953-7860. http://www.chicagopride.com/visitors/chi... I lived in that area most of my life and Chicago(Chi Town) has so much to see. Concerts. Restaurants of any kind . Museum of natural History. Zoo. Several movies have been made there , and you may be lucky enough to see some famous actors there. Right on the street they are filming on.. And in some of the restaurants. Christmas time is beautiful with all the decorations . The Christmas trees are awesome. A lot of clothing stores. Starbucks. is always crowded. Several Cafes that are real nice with good food. Go and eat at Ed Delbeviks (not sure on the spelling but the pronoucination is there) its really good and very reasonable!! Its like a 50s diner its really cool!! Navy pier is also really amazing, they have some neat little shops, and a neat resturant called Bubba Gumps, its like out of that movie Forrest Gump. If you like museums go to the Natural History museum, its amazing! Another thing is to just walk the streets and watch the people theres definitly some interesting ones...Have a great time! |
