How much does cab in Chicago cost for traveling around 30 miles? |
Travel Info I need to get a cab from an Oak Lawn, IL to Chicago O'Hare Airport and I have only 1 hr and 30 mins to get there...any options would be helpful... Travel Tips I agree, i think that limo's may be a better choice. Flat fee, cleaner & you arrive in style. www.crystallimousinegroup.com <==i've tried them before, great service. &taxi's are around $2 a mile but some may charge you more or less..depends. some may even drive you around more then need be, for more money. Be careful & good luck. =] Others average...$2 a mile. Do you have time to plan this? Because a limo might be a better deal. You still have to tip them, but they would have a flat fee. It cost me about $30 for only 15 miles to O'Hare. Call the cab companies (American is 773-248-7800) they might have flat fees, also. You could try one of those airport bus services. If there's a hotel in Oak Lawn somewhere, go there and get one of the airport shutttles. You's make it there in time and it might be cheaper than a cab. http://www.ohare.com/ohare/ground_transp... Oak lawn also has PACE bus service but I don't know if it goes direct to O'Hare. The cab is probably going to cost you $35. There is the option - although it's a bit annoying - of taking a bus east on 95th Street instead to the Dan Ryan expressway, getting on the Red Line L there, taking the train into the Loop and then transferring to the Blue Line to get to O'Hare. It'll take you a little longer - maybe an hour and a half - but it'll only cost you about $2.00. i don't know how much it costs exactly, but i do know that everytime i visit chicago it costs a fortune for a cab. can you use the L-train? |
