What are the schools closed due to severe weather in Chicago? |

(you may have difficulty accessing this page due to excessive traffic) Others The schools are closed where I live too in severe weather. I live in the mountains and the buses would have to go on curvy and icy roads to transport the children to school and back. It is for the safety for everyone who would go to school that day. If one person got her trying to get to school and back it would not be worth. The school can tack on days at the end of the year to make up for those missed days or they can ask for a deferment. On the tribune website it lists all the schools closed...looks like basically everything!! (hooray for snow!!!) http://www.chicagotribune.com/chi-school... just click that link and you can read all the school closings for today =) Try www.nbc5.com They have a link to search for closings based on town and facility name. Seems as though everything in the North and NW suburbs is closed probably much more. no not C.P.S! -the only time they close is when snow is up to your behind ! suburbian schools are not as tough though . |
