Ernest (Papa) Hemmingway had a home in the Florida Keys that he enjoyed. He was known as a stand-up guy and often interacted with his neighbors and he regularly frequented the local bars. He wrote a number of his books while in the Keys.
Hemmingway lived in the north part of Oak Park, the closest suburb on Madison Street to the West. Whether he "enjoyed" it is a debate as he is quoted as describing it as, "...the village of broad lawns and narrow minds."
