On Chicago's northside, where are the good and cheap re-sale shops?

Travel Info
Looking for some vintage clothes for all sizes...so I need a shop that sales things for various sizes. I know that the best shops are on the north side of the city but am having problems locating them.
Please advise.

Travel Tips
One of my favorite resale shops (actually more of a consignment) is just north of the six-way intersection at Fullerton and Lincoln in Lincoln Park. Continue a bit north on Lincoln, and you'll find it.

For purely vintage stuff, a great starting point is Hollywood Mirror and Ragstock, just off of the Belmont Red/Brown Line station. Ragstock is on the top floor and Hollywood Mirror is on the ground floor and basement. Both are chock-full of vintage fabulousness. Once, at a last minute decision to be Jackie O for Halloween, I found a pillbox hat at Hollywood Mirror for 5 bucks.

There's also the Army Surplus store right next to the Belmont el station, which has some vintage stuff as well. Happy hunting!

Actually the best shops for resale vintage clothing are NOT on the north side. You and every other person on the north side is into vintage clothing. It's a sort of young, hip trendy thing to wear vintage clothing. Because of them, most of the resale shops on the north side have been picked over so throughly that there's hardly anything good left. A smart person would go the opposite way and look for vintage clothing stores on the south and west sides, or even the burbs. The hip folks who are into vintage clothing would NEVER go to these places so it's an untapped market. Check the yellow pages and plot your route. Most of the neighborhoods are not as bad as people make them out to be, although to be on the safe side I would probably only go in the day time. But as far as the north side goes, people who are into that look have picked everything over pretty much already. And the people who run upscale vintage shops probably have a deal with the resale store owners to let them get first crack the new stuff that comes in. Go south and west and hit the burbs too. I know a guy who has found valuable vintage 45s by hitting the suburban resale shops because people in those areas throw that stuff out all the time when they're cleaning out their garages. The people on the north side are hip to the value of those things (they watch Antique Roadshow a lot) so they're keeping it for themselves.
