Winnetka is north. South side suburbs are places like Harvey, Dixmoor, Flossmoor, Olympia Fields, and Homewood.

Others
Winnetka is North.
South is Calumet, Hammond, Oak Park
Forget Oak Park...It's west. What about these other ones...Oaklawn, Evergreen Park, Stickney, Alsip, Tinley Park.

How far south are you talking? Berwyn, Oak Lawn, Burbank, La Grange are all close to the South side. Further south would be Orland Park, New Lenox, Tinley Park, etc.
Hazel Crest, Homewood, Calumet, etc.
