Has anyone ever been to chicago? |
Travel Info has anyone got any details about chicago and if they have been what did they think and what hotel did you stay in Travel Tips I went to Chicago a couple of years ago and stayed with a friend in the Old Town. Had a wonderful time. Went to the zoo, a boat trip on the river and out for a couple of meals (but it was local to her apartment). There is a really good comedy store type place that I went to as well - was a good night out. There are lots of architectural buildings and obviously a lot of history in Chicago and the boat trip was the historical one and I'd recommend if you could do it. She lived near Lake Shore Drive so I did a lot of walking around part of the lake - they kind of class it as the seaside and there's a little beach there too. Lots to do and see. Have a good trip. You could look at www.tripadvisor.co.uk for advice and details on hotels - it's a really good website. Others I used to work in Chicago... in a big department store... I used to work in Chicago... but I don't work there any more... A lady came in for a table.. a table from the store... a table she wanted... but laid she got... and I don't work there anymore. I am from Chicago and you need to be more specific. Embassy Suites on Columbus Dr. is a very nice hotel and very conveniently located. have stayed there I lived in Chicago from 1949-1951. I find it the friendliest, most helpful big city I had ever been in. A stranger walked two blocks to put me on the right el train. Chicago is a fabulous city! I have stayed at the Drake Hotel several times and it is great! A friend of mine has stayed at the SwissHotel and loved it too. This is a great city--fabulous restaurants, shopping and LOTS to do! I've stayed at the Chicago Hilton on Michigan Ave, and it is very nice. It's right by Grant Park and close to many attractions. The service at the hotel is excellent and the rooms are fantastic. |
