Travel Info How much does it cost to rent one of those horse-drawn carriages in downtown Chicago? Travel Tips i went at the end of summer and it was $40. it lasted about 30-40 min and it also included a polaroid of us in the carriage. it is totally worth it, but if you have never done it then take the ride that goes down lake shore dr. it is amazing seeing all the buildings at night going that slow. Others when i went, it was about $30 and you just tip the guy about $10 after. he also gave a choice on which scenery we wanted to take..i think it was between around the inner city or the lake front. everyone stares at you while you're in one but just wave and say hi. it's a good experience. not all that fun, but good experience~! during holiday season it will set you back 50 minimum, including tip. you can catch them at water tower on michigan ave. good luck |
