I am looking for an affordable suite in Chicago for six people on a weekend? Any ideas? |
Travel Info I am looking for a suite that would fit up to five or six people in downtown Chicago for a weekend in May. I want to spend the least amount of money possible. Travel Tips Stay at a hostel (http://www.hichicago.org/). It's probaby the cheapest accommodations you can find and it's right downtown. Others Google and click the map. It will give you a list of hotels. Then you may have to call to see if they have an suites large enought. Most don't the max the allow is 4. If you can find a Holiday Inn Express, you get 2 beds plus a sofa bed for a reasonable price, but the only one I could find in Chicago is at Midway Airport. My parents, kids, and I all stayed in 1 room at a Holiday Inn Express and we were more than comfortable. You can grab a train from Midway that will take you downtown if you are interested... http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/h/d/ex/1/en... (P.S. Don't tell them you need a room for 6, just book it for 3 adults. They won't allow that many people in one room so you will have to be a bit sneaky) Candlewood Suites is excellent, and not too expensive, but I'm not sure you can fit 6 people in one room. Whatever you do, do not stay at the Downtown Hyatt... they offer good deals, but the rooms are the size of a cracker box! You literally have to climb over the bed to get to the bathrooms. There are 2 bathrooms in each room, but it doesn't matter because everyone will be on top of each other. |
